π§ for all the vibes. Same patch as the last video except I’ve added a sampler module, midi and an input module to the SSP so now we’ve got drums, ba***, percussion, modulation and some lofi guitar notes to create a downtempo, chilly patch to go along with this rainy Virginia Sunday... |

You’ll need some π§ for this. I’m experimenting with the Erica Synths Black Stereo Delay into their Black Spring Reverb. I loaded a bunch of voice memos from my iPhone onto the SSP’s granular engine which is probably one of the best on the market. I’m just toying around with the hold, add, reverse functions of the delay and adjusting the grain sizes. I added just a little ping pong delay from my mixer at the end of the signal chain. |

Testing out some tweaks I made to this 303 style ba*** patch. Originally I used just a saw wave which gave me a lot of squelchy resonance I liked but I decided to add a square wave for a little more low end. I may connect the filter to the envelope in the next revision. The synth was built in the SSP and it’s also handling the drum/percussion samples. The squid is sequencing it all. |

π§ for the mo betta...More practice, more patches. Here’s another sketch in the books. The SSP is handling the drum and percussion samples, wavetable oscillator, filter and effects. Minus the Lapsus Os providing some modulation and the Squid sequencing, the SSP is doing all the lifting. |

π§ for the ambience. A little refinement to the wavetable patch from earlier. I added some tribal ba*** drum low end from the physical modeling membrane in the SSP. I also added a granular module with a vocal loop. There’s delay, reverb, SVF, bit crusher all inside the SSP helping to shape the tones with some external modulation as well. |

Same patch as last time except I’m using drum loops in the wavetable. SSP Power πͺπ½ get these drum loops in Re:Purpose, my new sound collection. Totally free, no strings attached. Download link in bio |

Dark, downtempo, minimal, chill, quick whip up. All sounds are from my newest sound collection, Re:Purpose which you can download free via the Bandcamp link in my bio. You can see the samples used in this clip. Download the collection and repurpose the samples how you see fit. On another note, I make an effort each day to spend time making music in some way. Even if I can only spare 20-30 minutes, I make some raw sounds to chop and edit later, patch up a few modules, turn on a hardware box etc. Music is therapeutic ππ½. |

Early morning patch with the SSP. The wavetable oscillator will accept any wav file (no external formatting needed) as a sound source so here I’m using a soundscape from my new sound collection Re:Purpose (free download link in bio) . I’m modulating the X and Y axis of the wavetable and the cutoff of the filter with external LFOs which gives it that almost wah pedal effect. Fun times to start the day off. |

I whipped up a little something using samples from Re:Purpose, my newest sound collection you can download free via the Bandcamp link in my bio. Recorded into a Go Mixer and into my iPhone. No eq, compression or s***y stuff. |

Here’s quick jam I put together using 5 samples from Re:Purpose, one of which is a free running loop. Download Re:Purpose for free, link in bio. Get over 170 sounds for your craft. |

My brain was melting from editing kick drum and ba*** samples so I ended the evening with some nightmare granular. The SSP is receiving external modulation on two granular modules with one output into Mimeophon and the other into the Black Spring Reverb. The Nebulae V2 is playing one of 2 string samples I’m modulating by hand. No, those aren’t kids vocals, those are violins. The SSP is just that d**** good. |

π§ recommended π§Someone in the Percussa forum made a patch replicating the @divkidvideo Ochd with 8 LFOs. I’ve never used the real thing but I can see why it’s so pop****r now. 2 regular samples and 2 granular samples, tons of modulation (obviously) delay and Catalyst to morph between scenes. |

π§ make it mo betta π§..Testing some new sounds from my upcoming sample pack. The SSP is looping the “ba***pheres” samples, Nebulae V2 is playing the vocal sample into a Mimeophon while catalyst modulates parameters on both modules which ended up making it sound like a lot more was going on. |

In this patch I’ve got Xaoc Devices Jena sequencing two samples I. The a***imil8or while Squid is playing the synth chords from the Percussa SSP. The samples from the a***imil8or are going into an Overseer filter. The synth signal is split with one channel going into the Viol Ruina filter and the other going straight into the mixer so when I sweep the filter down it sounds like 2 synths instead of one. The synth voice is a stock patch included with the SSP called 4Voice which is a 4 voice wavetable synth. Still experimenting, learning and slowly tying things together. |

A little acid style patch I started on the SSP with 1 saw tooth LFO, 1 envelope and 1 state variable filter. It’s sequenced by 1 SSP sequencer and patched into a Torcido I start using about half way through the video. The delay is from my L12 mixer. I’ll come back to this and maybe add a second LFO to thicken up the sound or maybe a wavetable oscillator. Fun times. |

Having a run with the PMM (physical modeling membrane) and had no clue it can get that filthy. There’s no distortion, saturation on the PMM, just some delay. |

A little refinement to yesterday’s patch. I switched out the samples, made a new sequence and added a saw tooth LFO to the sine wave LFO, fed that into an envelope then into the SVF and made a little synth voice with an att**ude problem. π‘ |

I started this patch before work this morning with a sampler and midi modules. Tonight I added the ba*** synth, filters and LFOs then let the OP-Z sequence it all. This module is so d**** deep πͺπ½ |

π§ highly recommended. I don’t normally use loops but when I do they’re constructed from my own samples. These are 2 “lofi” loops I was testing out that I ended up liking more when I lowered the frequency. @percussacom #SSP patch with 1 sample player, 1 Step sequencer and 1 out module. @wmdevices Overseer on filter duties. |

I started this patch yesterday with 5 sounds from my next sample pack a couple sequencers and LFOs. Today I added a wavetable oscillator and effects. I really dig the way the filter creates that little bubbly atmosphere as it winds down. The sequencers aren’t synced so the timing is off but I like the movement in the sounds. There’s so many things I like about this module. It isn’t great at any one thing and I don’t think it’s supposed to be. What it does is offer you plenty of tools to experiment and create in ways you wouldn’t normally do. It’s quirky yet highly capable and rewarding. So far so great. |

π§ for full effect. I edited some samples after work then put them in the SSP to experiment with and this came out. I’m just messing around with 1 of three LFOs in this patch. Madness ππ½. |

π§ (for the chill vibes) My first patch I put together on the Percussa SSP. It’s a simple patch using 2 samples, 1 Step Sequencer, 2 LFOs, 1 Reverb and an output module. This module is actually quite simple to program. I’m looking forward to adding to this patch and watching it grow. Shoutout to @matthsmatthsmatths for making an incredibly detailed series of YouTube videos for this bad boy. They’ve been beyond helpful getting things going quickly. |

π§π§ The Percussa SSP will load any wav file and slice it up for use in the Wavetable Oscillator. This is a sample of an acoustic guitar solo. I ran the LFO up because I’m like a child when it comes to sound and music. It’s a perpetual “I wonder...” π€ |

π§ππ½My first run in with the Percussa SSP. I didn’t have much time to experiment but I dumped a few samples on the sd card and checked out the granular patch which is dope so far. Also, my Arturia Keystep was straight plug and play. No drivers, no set up or anything. That was nice ππ½ |
